Disability Equality Training

This course is ideal for people who new to world of disability or just need to refresh their minds to a new way of thinking.

Course Outline? 

First of all we always start these types of courses with an icebreaker which will consist of the following:

  • Tell who you are?
  • What organisation you are from?
  • What are your main concerns?
Topics and section training will consist of:

  2. Disability Terminology (word game)
  3. Social Model v Medical Model
  4. Disability History Time line
  5. Famous people
  6. Legislation (DDA Act and Disability Equality)
  7. Case Studies
  8. Video: (Talk, and other issues)
  9. Conclusions
  10. Action Plans
  11. Evaluation
  12. Reading list and how to order from us.

All training materials come in a high quality folder supplied with a CD that contains all the legislation.

We aim to run this course at least twice a month for all organisations.

This is a full one day course and for outside of London this will be £ 25.00 per person. Within London this is £ 80.00 per person.
